Terms for using Skan.
These terms govern your use of Skan. By using the app, you agree to these terms and the Skan Privacy Policy. Skan is currently provided without a paid subscription.
The service
Skan provides on-device document capture, correction, text recognition, search and PDF export, with optional cloud backup. Cloud backup requires a Google or Microsoft sign-in and an internet connection.
Your documents
You keep ownership of the documents and other content you add. You confirm that you have the right to scan, store and share that content, and you remain responsible for deciding who receives an exported document.
Text recognition
Recognised text and automatically prepared files can contain mistakes. Check documents and extracted text before relying on, submitting or sharing them. Skan is not legal, medical, financial or professional advice and is not a substitute for an original record where one is required.
Acceptable use
Do not use Skan unlawfully, to infringe another person's rights, to store malicious content, to probe or disrupt the service, or to bypass access controls. We may block malicious uploads and suspend access needed to protect users or the service.
Availability and changes
We work to keep cloud backup available and secure, but it may be interrupted for maintenance, security work or events outside our control. Keep any original or independent copy you cannot afford to lose. We may update the app or these terms as Skan changes.
Account closure
You can delete your account in Skan Settings. Deletion is permanent and removes your cloud account and stored documents; the app also removes its on-device library. You can use Skan without an account after deletion.
Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, Intellova is not liable for indirect or consequential loss or for a loss caused by content you provide, an unreviewed recognition result, or a third-party identity service.

Skan is provided by LIVIA CARE PTY LTD, trading as Intellova. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Contact apps@intellova.com.au with questions or support requests.
