Getting set up: your account and first data source
How to activate your Intellova account and connect your first data source, with help from our managed onboarding team.
Activating your account
When your Intellova subscription begins, we'll send an activation email to the address your organisation nominated as the primary contact. To get started, open that email and follow the link to set your password and confirm your details. If you can't find the email, check your spam or junk folder, then contact our support team and we'll resend it.
Your account is hosted in a dedicated database on AWS in Australia, so your business data stays onshore. Once you're signed in, you'll see your workspace. It may look empty at first — that's normal. Your dashboards and analytics fill in once your first data source is connected and the initial sync has run.
Connecting your first data source
Intellova uses a managed setup, which means you don't have to wire up technical connections yourself — our onboarding team does the work for you. To begin, here's what to do: 1) Let us know which tool you'd like to connect first, such as your CRM, accounting, rostering, or support system. 2) Provide the access we request (for example, an authorised login or an API key from that tool) — we'll tell you exactly what's needed and how to share it securely. 3) Confirm the go-ahead, and we'll build and test the connection.
We recommend starting with one source rather than several at once. This lets you see real data in your workspace quickly and check that everything looks right before adding more. Once the connection is live, Intellova runs an initial sync to bring your existing records into your database, then keeps them up to date on a regular schedule.
What to expect after setup
After your first source is connected and synced, your data becomes available for analytics in Amazon Quick Suite, where your dashboards and reports live. Depending on how much history you're bringing across, the first sync can take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours — we'll let you know roughly how long to expect for your setup.
Intellova keeps you informed even when something goes wrong. If a scheduled sync fails to save, we still send an email notification so you're never left guessing about whether your data is current. If you receive one of these, you don't need to fix anything technical — just reply to the notification or contact support, and we'll investigate and resolve it. For anything else — a new source, a question about your data, or an unexpected dashboard result — our support team is the fastest way to get help.
